Description: 褒贬不一赵本山 多维社记者万毅忠报导/ 广东出版的《南方人物周刊》在06年1月曾经写过一篇名为《人民需要赵本山》的文章，文章引述毛泽东的话说：卑贱者更聪明。认为赵本山的个人成长史，正好为这句有反智倾向的著名论断做了一次颇有说服力的注脚。 文章认为"在这个现实主义文艺观不可避免地萎缩、现实题材的创作和呈现都乏善可陈的时代里，赵本山小品的火爆，恰恰反衬出小品的畸形繁荣。" 没有人可以无视赵本山的天赋、努力和运气，但也没有人可以忽略他的局限性。 他的角色永远都是农民，脑子里满是乡土人物，他的艺术夸大了农民的拘谨、不信任，甚至是狡黠、小聪明和小心眼，这一切在逗人笑时也引起另一部分人的厌恶。 《南方人物周刊》指出了赵本山的缺陷：缺乏深刻和怜悯；对社会现实的描述偏于琐细，作为喜剧的批判和嘲讽对象，有时指向的是残疾人和愚昧的村民；他的文化素养，也使他缺乏对时代的洞察力。 在赵本山率领的刘老根剧组纽约巡演之后，在掌声和笑声中，我们也同样听到了批评声。纽约华人联席会的陈梅律师说："在赵本山的演出之后，我接了很多电话，很多人抗议他的演出内容，我个人也有同感。比较第二天姜昆的演出，赵本山的内涵有待考察。我可以用四个字来囊括他们的演出：无聊和下流。赵本山的演出团队，演员上台一讽刺残疾人，二讽刺肥胖者，三讽刺精神病患，他的演员模仿瘸子等残疾人，把自己的欢乐建立在别人的痛苦之上，连赵本山本人出场时都说了一句话'大概全中国的精神病人都在我赵本山刘老根队伍里'。" 陈梅说："我认为如果赵本山的团队不改变内容，就不应该再出国了。因为这种演出放在主流社会，演出厅门口会聚集很多残疾人和肥胖者抗议。再看姜昆带来的中国广播艺术团，同样是逗笑说唱，内容正派积极向上。这真是不比不知道，一比吓一跳。" 前中华学苑张校长："赵本山的演出非常低俗，我是辽宁人，按理说应该捧几句，但赵本山的尾巴翘的太高了，捧不得了。说句实话，赵本山的演出水平不高，档次属下里巴人一等，语言低俗，在纽约演出时，赵本山本人说'哥俩娶一个媳妇'，又解释不是哥俩用一个媳妇，什么话！低俗的很！我感到他给辽宁人丢份儿。我是辽西人，我们辽西把下里巴人这一层又分为两等，一种是狗挠门，一种叫傻柱子接媳妇。傻柱子到春节接媳妇回家过年，虽然情节简单，但还是有情节。狗挠门却没有情节，那是狗的自然属性，谈不上有情节，小狗就爱干这个动作，赵本山的演出就属于狗挠门。"
