Description: I upgraded to the new firmware of N95, 12.0.013, which became available for the US product code N95 as of July 19, 2007. There are some issues people report regarding this new firmware but I haven't come across with the things you will see in the video in any of these reports. 1-2 hours later after installation these kind of things started to happen. I rebooted N95 several times, reinstalled the same new firmware, but these didn't work. May be I am extremely unlucky that I have only problem with my screen and it has got nothing to do with the new firmware, but the fact that these problems occurred right after the installation of the new firmware made me suspicious. I don't know who is the culprit --New firmware or hardware? |

Nokia is consistent as to dealing with this problem. Nokia replaced the LCD of someone's LCD in Polond, U.S. and Norway. __________________________________________________ | |

| mg428 ::: Favorites 2007-07-19 22:50:29 Let me say something else: This problem occurred when I was using the maps application, particularly when I was trying to see the satellites. BTW, before N95 broke I had noticed that although there was A-GPS enabled in the settings menu as a part of one of the new improvements of the firmware, unlike many reviewers, I didn't see any change. I had very late lock ups and none of the satellites showed up indoors, even when I was 1 meter away from the window. __________________________________________________ | |
