MightyTiny ::: Favorites This is just inaccurate. Atheism contains no philosophy or claims beyond the disbelief in deities. Atheism can be a part of many philosophies - many buddhists are atheists, and secular humanists are atheists. But there's nothing in atheism itself that requires one to be a secular humanist, or a buddhist, for that matter. It's the same with theism - theism is simply the belief in deities. XtalFBC ::: Favorites "Humanism" is a fancy term meaning "Atheist philosophy". A humanist is an atheist, or anyone who has an atheist sort of worldview. Look up the Humanist Manifestos. Most abortion industries, rainbow rights, anti-Christian, and ACLU type groups adhere to Humanism.
