LOST Season 4, Episode 1: Invisible (Part 2)

Here you will get to see the absolute worst of my newfound MS Paint abilities. Seeing as how I'm just starting to learn what you can really do with the program, I've been pushing the proverbial envelope with it. As a result, you'll see a flat-topped Kate, a Jack with the top of his head chopped off, the back of Paulo's head hacked up to look like Desmond going into the Pearl Station (all I really did was try to make the hair longer, but it's pathetically obvious!), and a far-away Charlie magically becomes Kate with the addition of a few cut & pasted hair pieces. It just so happens that Desmond looks enough like Jack in the frame, clothes and all, that I didn't have to do much with him. There is also a reference to Radiohead at one point. Another issue I'm having is that some frames just don't need to be up there for all of five seconds each. As far as I can tell, though, the only way to change it in Movie Maker is to cut the time in half, to 2.5 seconds. Which only works with very short lines of dialogue, and I don't want to assume right off the bat that we're all speed readers here. The moment I got those three guys together in the Pearl Station, the whole thing went in a completely different direction than I had originally written it. There are still a ton of questions Desmond needs to ask Ben to fulfill the curiosity that he no doubt is having about what he's been doing on this island. I wanted Claire's scene at the beginning to be more dramatic than it was, with her bawling her eyes out. But she's been a pretty strong girl, all things considered, and I didn't feel like trying to make a frame of her hugging Hurley. Even though that would have been so typical of my ass to do that. I've been having a heck of a time finding a place for Juliet in the story, hence she only shows up for a short two frames in this episode, but it does lend itself to my contrivance as to how Jack and Kate end up being the "only" ones to get off the island. That is, assuming they WERE the only two that got off and also assuming that the reason Jack is so anxious to get back is to rescue the rest of his friends. Wasn't too sure how I wanted Penny's ship to look; it is referred to as a "freighter" by the guy on the SAT phone, but I know pretty much jack about ships so I just Googled for an image and well, there it is. Getting Lost music that is appropriate to the situation is more tricky than I had thought. The timing of the blaring horns at the end is purely accidental; I about tossed my cookies when I saw that it actually worked out that way. I'll add more to this as stuff comes to mind!
